Infrared Optical Windows are optical windows designed to perform at a required optimum level in the infrared (IR) spectrum

Infrared optical windows are widely used in FTIR (Fourier-transform infrared) spectroscopy, where absorption of the infrared spectrum range is required. In addition, infrared optical windows are used in thermal imaging applications, for example in military or civilian aircraft where thermographic cameras may be used to detect infrared radiation, as well as in medical systems and instrumentation.

We supply a variety of infrared optical windows made from a wide range of substrate materials with properties to suit different mechanical or optical requirements, and either with or without AR coatings.

Infrared optical windows substrate materials options include Calcium Fluoride (CaF2), Barium Fluoride (BaF2), Germanium (Ge), Magnesium Fluoride (MgF2), Borosilicate, Sapphire, Silicon (Si), Fused Quartz, Zinc Sulphide (ZnS) and Zinc Selenide (ZnSe).
