DKDP or  KD*P crystals have high electro-optic coefficients, which makes well-suited for pockels cells Q-switches applications. DKDP crystals also have good transmission at UV to 1.1µm, makes the DKDP pockels cells suitable for applications with wavelengths from the UV to approximately 1.1 µm .
