High Reflection (HR) Dielectric Coatings

High reflective dielectric coatings are dielectric thin films designed to maximize the reflectivities of optics (most typically optical mirrors). Dielectric high reflective coatings usually comprise multiple layers of high and low refractive index material that are alternately stacked to form constructive interference between the reflected beams. In comparison with metallic mirror coatings, dielectric mirror coatings are more sensitive to wavelength change and variations in angles of incidence, but can provide higher reflectivities.
