Shalom EO is excited to announce our new product: chirped mirrors and chirped mirror pairs. The mirrors are specially designed and manufactured for dispersion compensation and chirped pulse amplification in ultrafast laser and femtosecond laser systems. Both off-the-shelf and custom mirrors are available.
Engineered for broadband dispersion compensation, our chirped mirrors consisting of fused silica substrates and multi-layer thin film coatings offer >99.9% reflectance and low loss across a wide spectral range while delivering precisely controlled Group Delay Dispersion (GDD).
The GDD of our chirped mirrors and pairs is tested by our Ultrafast Innovations GOBI white light interferometer in Shalom EO’s work. Third-order dispersion is also minimized to maintain pulse integrity.
Chirped mirror pairs are double chirped mirrors with complementary properties, because for a single chirped mirror, the GDD value will fluctuate periodically with the wavelength. Using a chirped mirror pair can improve this problem and obtain a relatively constant GDD value.
Our chirped mirrors and mirror pairs feature:
- High reflectivities (>99.9%) (Reflecitivities specified here=(s-polarization+p-polarization)/2)
- Laser induced damage threshold: >4J/cm2@1030nm, 200ps, 100Hz, or >2J/cm2@800nm, 100ps, 100Hz
- Standard or custom GDD profiles tailored to application needs
- Options for Ti: Sapphire, Yb-doped, and other ultrafast laser systems
