Hangzhou Shalom EO has developed the SP121 (Equal to EJ444) series plastic scintillators, which are suitable for both α-ray and β-ray detection. A ZnS(Ag) layer are painted on the surface of our plastic scintillator SP102 with the usual ZnS(Ag) layer thickness of 4.5mg/cm2. While plasti scintillator SP102 is for β-ray detection with peak emission wavelength of 423nm, and ZnS(Ag) layer is for α-ray detection with peak emission at 450nm, the designed thickness of ZnS(Ag) layer are selected to absorb α-ray just exactly. An advanced and sophisticated processing are used to make the ZnS(Ag) painting, which makes the final scintillators has an excellent homogeneity and uniformity.
