Wafers and Substrates

Wafers and Substrates (A-Z Order)

Hangzhou Shalom EO supplies a full selection of off-shelf and custom wafers and substrates, where our diverse product catalog caters to a wide range of applications like optical, piezoelectric (SAW grade), semiconductor, epitaxial thin film growth (e.g., GaN thin film, ferroelectric/magnetic thin film, high temperature superconductor). Our wafer and substrate categories include crystal, semiconductor, glass, and ceramic wafers/substrates:

1. Crystal Wafers and Substrates:

These are substrates and wafers made of crystalline materials (solid materials with atoms arranged in regular microscopic structures). We provide various crystal substrates like magnesium fluoride crystal, lithium niobate/lithium tantalate crystal substrates of both optical grade and surface acoustic wave grade, LNOI/LTOI, quartz crystal substrate and wafers, sapphire, strontium titanate, GGG, yttria-stabilized zirconia, PMN-PT/PIN-PMN-PT, and more.

The products are not only available as substrates and wafers, but also crystal boules/ingots, and can be supplied as either blanks or double side/single side polished. The dimensions, surface roughness, and orienations of the crystals can be chosen according to your needs.

2. Semiconductor Wafers and Substrates

A semiconductor is a material that has electrical conductivities between that of a conductor and an insulator. Its abilities to conduct electricities can be controlled, which makes it essential in electronic devices.

Hangzhou Shalom EO can provide various semiconductor substrates and wafers, like silicon (Si) wafers for integrated circuits/microchips, silicon carbide (SiC) crystal, gallium arsenide (GaAs) crystal, gallium nitride, germanium (Ge), etc. The conduction type, resistivities, doping concentrations of the semiconductor wafers and substrates can all be modified.

3. Glass Wafers and Substrates

Glass wafers and substrates are thin flat pieces made of glass (amorphous, non-crystalline transparent solids gained from cooling a molten substance, typically silica befor it crystallize).

Hangzhou Shalom EO provide a wide range of glass wafers and substrates of SEMI standrad dimensions, including Corning glass (Corning Pyrex, Corning HPFS 7980/7979/7978, Eagle XG, etc.), Chinese JGS1 glass, SCHOTT glass (SCHOTT Borofloat33/B270/D263/N-BK7), Chinese CDGM glass, we can also provide ITO glass.

4. Ceramics

Ceramics are non-metallic, inorganic materials made via shaping and firing raw materials (like clay or metal oxides) at high temperatures.

Hangzhou Shalom EO provides advanced ceramic materials including beryllium oixde ceramics, metalized BeO ceramics, silicon carbide ceramics, and allumina ceramics. Our ceramic materials can be made into different shapes with high precision.
